What works
Detail gets simplified. Character stays.
Clear, well-lit photos produce the strongest designs. Embroidery suits bold shapes; print can keep finer detail.
-
Pets
Head-on portraits with the face filling the frame are ideal.
-
People
One face, a couple or a whole family — sharp, close and well lit.
-
Cars & bikes
Side-on or three-quarter views, with the full shape in frame.
-
Logos
Club badges, team crests and business marks with clear edges.
-
Handwriting
Signatures, short notes, children's drawings and meaningful dates.
-
Places
Homes, pubs, grounds and landmarks that mean something.
Before you order
Questions, answered.
Still unsure? Email us the photo first and we'll tell you whether embroidery or print will suit it best.
What kind of photo works best?
One clear subject, filling most of the frame, in decent light. A phone photo is fine — you don't need anything professional. Busy backgrounds and very dark shots make any design harder to read.
Do I need to crop or edit it first?
No. Upload it as it came off your phone. We handle the cropping, the background and the colour work.
Will it look exactly like my photo?
Not exactly. We redraw your photo for the finish you choose. Embroidery uses bolder shapes and fewer colours; print can keep finer detail.
Do I see it before I pay?
Yes. You upload, we generate the design, then you choose a placement with its clearly stated finished size before anything goes in your basket.
Can I choose where it goes and how big?
Yes. You pick the position — left chest or large on the front — and you'll see the real finished width in millimetres for each one before you decide.
What's the difference between embroidered and printed?
Embroidered is stitched in thread: hard-wearing, with a raised, textured finish. Printed goes straight onto the fabric: finer detail and a softer feel. Busy designs with a lot of small detail usually suit print better.
